It takes a lot of kindness and selflessness to work for others without expecting anything in return. Vishal Dilip Bhujbal, a 34-year-old man from Pune’s Narayangaon village has shown the world the impact social work can leave. He belongs to a simple middle-class family. His father is a father and his mother is a homemaker. His parents gave him a good education so that he can take up a job and earn a better livelihood. The Bhujbals had also seen a financial setback in life once. At that time, Vishal helped his family and earned money by selling tea.
Today, Vishal Dilip Bhujbal has come a long way in his life. He is one of the most inspiring individuals in the state of Maharashtra. He worked with social workers like Sidhutai Sakpal, Anna Hazare, Bhaiyyuji Maharaj and several others. They all inspired him to devote his life to working for others. Vishal’s first step in social services began with him cremating unclaimed bodies. He gave them goodbye with proper rituals as if they were like his family. So far, Vishal has cremated more than 1000 bodies.
Vishal Dilip Bhujbal also cares a lot about education. He believes every person deserves an education. So he helps the underprivileged kids from Nashik, Pune, Ahmednagar, Paithan, Raigad and many others with education. Every year, Vishal adopts at least 100 girls and looks after their education and upbringing. Health-related causes are also important to Vishal. He looks after kids from Khamgaon who are diagnosed with HIV Aids.
About dedicating his life to social service and setting an example to today’s youth, Vishal says, “The youth of the society should come together and help in doing social work, collectively. This can develop the society and ultimately, the nation. I will be working on the line of Hindu Hriday Samrat Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Kranti Surya Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule and Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.”
