The 2024 Chevy Blazer is a model year older than the 2023 mid-cycle refresh, yet it has a few minor improvements over the 2023 model year. One of these modifications is now the wider availability of two Bow Tie crossover bundles.
The Arctic Packages 1 (RPO code RGC) and 2 (RPO code RGL) were formerly limited to the 2023 Blazer 3LT trim level. Both of these packages are also available as options for the 2LT trim for the 2024 model year.
For background, the Arctic Package 1 comes with the following items (applicable RPO code in parenthesis) and costs an additional $4,195:
- twenty-inch LPO (RZR) chrome aluminium wheels
- Bow Tie motif, LPO (5KA), bodyside fender hash decal
- Grille bar in body colour, LPO (SJ9)
- Bow ties in black, front and back (B94)
It’s important to note that the Arctic Package 1 is not now available for purchase because the 20-inch chrome aluminium wheels are not currently available for order.
- Bow Tie motif, LPO (5KA), bodyside fender hash decal
- Grille bar in body colour, LPO (SJ9)
- Bow ties in black, front and back (B94)
Interestingly, LPO designates an option that dealerships install directly.
Recall that the 2.0L I4 LSY turbocharged gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.6L V6 LGX normally aspirated gasoline engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, are the two engine options available for the Chevy Blazer.
The GM nine-speed automated transmission is mated to both engine options; FWD is the default and AWD is an optional feature.
The GM C1 platform powers the Bow Tie crossover under its body panels. In the meantime, the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico officially began producing the 2024 Chevy Blazer on July 10, 2023.
