Tata has been working hard on its next releases, which include Curvv, Nexon CNG, and Altroz Racer.
The company’s first coupe SUV, the Curvv, will prioritise performance over economy, while the Nexon CNG and Altroz Racer will prioritise both.
Maruti Suzuki led the market with a 40.66% market share during the most recent fiscal year.
Hyundai (14.22%), Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors (13.63%), Mahindra (10.75%), and Kia (5.71%) were the next in line.
Tata Motors wants to grow its product line in order to overtake Hyundai and secure the second position.
1. Tata Altroz Altroz Racer
The car, which will be released soon, will perform better. With a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine from Nexon, it produces 120 PS and 170 Nm of power, an increase of 10 PS and 30 Nm over the normal Altroz.
Premium options including heated front seats, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, six airbags, a 360° camera, ESC, a voice-activated sunroof, and a head-up display will be available with the 6-speed manual Tata Altroz Racer. Hyundai i20 N Line will be the main opponent.
2. Tata Nexon Nexon iCNG
The Tata Nexon iCNG is expected to make history because it will be the country’s first factory-produced CNG vehicle with a turbocharged petrol engine.
Before this, Tata had already achieved another significant milestone with the launch of the Tiago and Tigor CNG automatic versions. A 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine will power the SUV. The car will be available with a choice of manual or automatic gearbox. The car’s CNG version will cost about Rs 1 lakh more than the corresponding petrol model.
3. Tata Curvv
Thought to make its debut around the holiday season, the car’s release has been postponed many months.
Curvv, Tata’s first coupe SUV, will be the company’s only offering in the small SUV market. There will be ICE and EV versions of the vehicle available.
Regarding delivery dates, the EV will go on sale first, and the ICE variant should be available by late 2024 or early 2025.
With high hopes, Curvv is positioned to compete with industry titans like VW Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Toyota HyRyder, Honda Elevate, and Skoda Kushaq.
Curvv EV is better positioned because it will be released ahead of Creta EV, Maruti eVX, and Toyota’s eVX variant.
The Tata ICE Curvv will be driven by a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with 125 horsepower.
There will be options for manual and automatic transmissions.
