The VF Connect Prime bundle will feature RIDEVU as a free service. The over-the-air (OTA) software update version 9.6.1.11 will grant access to RIDEVU to U.S. owners of the VF 8 who register for the service.
RIDEVU, created by Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), gives users access to more than 2,000 films. Users have access to RIDEVU’s constantly updated movie catalogue and can watch up to 100 movies indefinitely throughout their 12-month subscription. Additionally, users can purchase, rent, or redeem credits to gain access to premium titles straight through the app.
With simple synchronisation and multimedia streaming over numerous screens, including in-car displays and brought-in devices, RIDEVU provides a contemporary technological experience. Convenient parental controls are available right from the dashboard of the car thanks to the central screen’s Screen Manager function, which grants users total control over playing on all linked displays.
Drivers are only allowed to watch films on the central screen of the car while parked (charging, camping, etc.) using the RIDEVU app for a safe in-car experience. Using the Screen Manager function in the RIDEVU Companion app, passengers may watch films on their smartphones or tablets while the car is moving.
VinFast U.S. Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. David Duncan, explained: “We are thrilled to be the world’s first automobile manufacturer to officially launch RIDEVU, offering an engaging entertainment experience for our U.S. customers. I believe that as a smart and green mobility solution, the VinFast VF 8 will deliver a convenient and enjoyable experience to customers wherever their journey takes them.”
SVP of Digital Sales and Distribution at SPE, Mr. Pete Wood, explained: “VinFast and Sony Pictures are thrilled to be collaborating on the launch of the RIDEVU service. We are sure that RIDEVU will revolutionise car visual entertainment, starting with VinFast drivers and passengers having the finest possible experience.
When the VF 9 is delivered to the American market, RIDEVU should also be available on it. Later this year, Canada will receive the VF 9.
