The release date for the mystery project starring Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler, which is slated to premiere in theaters next year, has been announced.
The pair, who previously worked together on Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, will reunite on the untitled movie.
The movie will be released on March 7, 2025, according to Deadline, despite the fact that it does not yet have a title or a solid premise.
Although there aren’t many details available at this time, Coogler is credited with writing the script from an original concept, and the tale is rumored to have a “period element.”
In their most recent project together, Jordan made an unexpected cameo in Wakanda Forever, when he played Killmonger again. The actor was able to keep this information a secret from everyone, even his own family.
He said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, “It’s tough, I think this time around because we lost our brother Chadwick [Boseman]. It was so much weight to power through.”
“Ryan had such a tremendous task in front of him to evolve the script and the story in a way that still honoured Chadwick but moved the franchise forward as well.”
“So for me to be able to come back – and I really had to keep it under wraps, I had to grow my hair out. You know, I got the locks back in and stuff like that.”
“And I’m traveling to a lot of places, so I’ve got to wear a hat, a hoodie, fly private, which isn’t too bad of a thing. But being able to keep it under wraps was really a tough thing.”
