Health authorities state seven instances of the mumps have been affirmed at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Houston.
The Houston Health Department said Saturday that the seven grown-ups were detained amid their irresistible period. Health authorities state there’s no proof the infection was transmitted outside the facility.
The health department is working with the facility on contamination control.
Mumps is infectious and spreads through coughing and sneezing. Common symptoms are fever, migraine, and horrendously swollen salivary glands that can cause puffy cheeks. The vast majority recuperate inside weeks. Flare-ups are uncommon however have occurred in Texas and the Houston region.
