The Fashion Design Council of India X Lakme Fashion Week’s fifth day featured runway walks by Janhvi Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. Wearing contemporary Indian ethnic attire, the two actors transformed into show stoppers for KALKI, setting the ramp on fire.
They donned classic outfits from the brand’s most recent INARA collection. Aditya matched Janhvi Kapoor’s maroon lehenga and blouse ensemble with a long jacket and suit combo. During Lakme Fashion Week, KALKI unveiled their most recent collection, INARA. ‘tribute to elegance, sophistication, and the timeless beauty of cherry blossoms, ushering in the essence of spring and the vibrancy of summer’. is what INARA is. The collection includes carefully designed clothing with 3D flower and geometric patterns, fringes, and tassels to give a whimsical and alluring touch. On Day 5 of Lakme Fashion Week, Janhvi Kapoor wore a maroon lehenga outfit that included a cropped blouse. It features a fitted silhouette, an asymmetric curving hem, a cowl neckline, sleeveless style, and sequin embellishments on the borders. The shirt was worn with a matching lehenga skirt that had a high-rise waist, a mermaid silhouette, a floor-length hem, a figure-hugging fit over the thighs, velvet flowers, and beaded and sequin decorations.
Janhvi accessorized the look with a side-parted sleek hairdo reminiscent of the 1950s, high shoes, bold rings, delicate earrings, smokey eye makeup, winged eyeliner, mascara on the lashes, darker eyebrows, glossy pink lip tint, rouge on the cheekbones, and a contoured face.
Aditya Roy Kapur, meanwhile, looked stunning next to Janhvi in an all-black outfit that had a long jacket and blazer worn over matching pants and a collared button-down shirt. Sparkling sequins were attached to the lapels of the jackets. To finish it off, he went with matching black dress shoes, a backswept hairstyle, and a cropped beard.
