The worldwide revised LDV D90/Maxus D90, which is marketed as the Gloster, will soon be available in India under a new brand thanks to MG Motor India. Along with minor interior changes, the Gloster’s facelift will include considerable design improvements.
The Gloster makeover, as seen in the image, will have a redesigned fascia that centres the brand emblem around a large three-slat grille. Additionally, a cube-shaped split headlamp system will be added to the headlights. The LED DRLs will then smoothly blend into the grille, giving the revised Gloster’s front look even more personality.
The test mule was observed using the identical alloy wheels as the production model on the sides. The full-size SUV will get updated LED taillamps at the back with a light bar that connects.
The Gloster facelift will still come equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround camera, and a Level 2 ADAS suite, among other features.
It seems improbable that MG will modify the powerplant option mechanically. The flagship SUV will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-liter diesel engine coupled to an automated gearbox with eight speeds. There will be two variants of this engine available: turbo and twin-turbo. It can produce up to 213 horsepower and peak torque of 478 Nm.
