The current year, 2024, as well as the next years, 2025, 2026, and beyond, will see a tonne of new Maruti Suzuki India Limited vehicle debuts. This is a list of all 10 new cars that the Indo-Japanese automaker has planned over the next few years.
All-new Swift
The company’s primary release in India will be the brand-new, fourth generation of its hugely successful hatchback Swift. Both the outside and interior of the new model will be completely renovated. It will also come equipped with a brand-new, powerful hybrid system-equipped 1.2-liter Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine. It will probably debut in April of this year.
All-new Dzire
The new Dzire sub-compact sedan will also be unveiled by the firm after the Maruti Suzuki Swift debut. This new model will also have an interior and exterior that look considerably more luxurious. The new Swift’s powerplant will not change. It is rumoured that it will be the nation’s first subcompact sedan featuring a single-pane electric sunroof. The new fourth generation Swift will be released a few months after the launch.
Fronx Hybrid
The crossover Fronx, which is Maruti Suzuki’s most distinctive product, is already a big hit in the Indian market. Additionally, the business intends to introduce a hybrid version of this crossover to further increase its appeal. It will reportedly receive the brand’s new HEV series hybrid powertrain, which uses the engine to charge the battery pack like a generator.
Baleno Facelift
In addition to the new Fronx, the business is now developing a facelift for its well-liked premium hatchback, the Baleno. The precise debut date of the latest Baleno makeover is still unknown. But the corporation is probably going to unveil it in the run-up to this year’s holidays. It is said to be outfitted with the departing powertrain.
Grand Vitara 7-seater
Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce the seven-seater Grand Vitara, a popular mid-size SUV, by the end of 2024. Internally dubbed the Y17, the Grand Vitara seven-seater will be based on the same architecture, drivetrain, and other components as the current five-seat hybrid SUV. Additionally, Toyota will introduce the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, a seven-seater variant that will resemble the seven-seat Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
New Micro SUV
There have been rumours that the business is also developing a completely new tiny SUV. When it is introduced, the small SUV will face competition in India from vehicles like the Citroen C3 and Tata Punch. Not much is currently known about the layout and engine of this car. Furthermore, the precise launch window for this car has not been disclosed.
New Micro MPV based on Spacia
The next Maruti MPV, which is based on Spacia and is internally codenamed YDB, is anticipated to go on sale in 2026. It’s thought that in order to accommodate additional passengers, the India-spec Spacia-based MPV would also be expanded. Regarding the drivetrain, it is anticipated to be driven by the same 1.2-liter Z-Series gasoline engine that will be included in the upcoming Swift.
New full-size MPV
In addition to the new Spacia-based tiny MPV, Maruti Suzuki intends to introduce a new full-size MPV. In the Maruti lineup, it’s most likely going to sit above and below the Invicto or take the place of the Ertiga. Not much is currently known about this MPV.
New SUV to rival XUV700
Apart from introducing the Grand Vitara with seven seats, the business is also allegedly developing a new vehicle that would compete with the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari. It will most likely be a hybrid SUV with brash, aggressive appearance to go with the XUV700 and Safari’s street presence in India. At this moment, the new SUV’s debut schedule is unknown.
New sub-4m SUV
The business intends to introduce a brand-new sub-4 million SUV in India. It is currently unknown if this will take the place of the Brezza or be introduced as a new model. It will probably also debut in the latter part of 2025 or the first few months of 2026.
