Maruti Suzuki Swift Is Anticipated To Come In A CNG Version In The Upcoming Months

The fourth generation Swift was just released by Maruti Suzuki in India. According to recent sources, the business may introduce a new CNG variant to the Swift lineup in the upcoming months. With the new Z12E engine, the forthcoming Swift CNG is anticipated to get a mileage of more than 32 km/kg.

New Maruti Swift CNG: what to expect

All of Maruti Suzuki’s Arena vehicles come with a CNG version. Thus, the Swift will soon have the option to run on compressed natural gas (CNG), and if it has the most recent Z12E engine, it will be the first car to run on CNG to be powered by the new engine. The power and torque output of the petrol-CNG engine will be somewhat less than when operating just on CNG. The manual gearbox will also be available with the CNG version.

The newly released 2024 Maruti Swift is the first vehicle in the class to be equipped with a new 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 112Nm of torque and 82 horsepower. A 5-speed manual gearbox or an optional 5-speed AMT are available to match the powerplant.

According to the manufacturer, the new Swift has a fuel efficiency of up to 25.75 kpl when equipped with an automatic gearbox and 24.80 kpl when equipped with a manual gearbox. In the meantime, a mileage of more than 32 km/kg is anticipated for the Swift CNG. When it launches, it will compete with vehicles like the Tata Tiago CNG choices and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

Price

The current pricing range for the new 2024 Swift (ex-showroom) is Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.64 lakh. Following launch, the CNG model is anticipated to cost between Rs 90,00 and Rs 95,000 more than the similar fuel variants.
