On April 29, Mahindra & Mahindra will unveil the XUV 3XO (XUV300 facelift), while on May 9, 2024, Maruti Suzuki will reveal the new Swift’s pricing.
Mahindra XUV 3XO
Thanks to a number of teaser trailers that disclose interior amenities and design details, the new Mahindra XUV 3XO subcompact SUV has already created a lot of talk. The SUV will have an ARAI-certified mileage of 20.1 kmpl, according to the carmaker’s most recent teaser film. This is probably because it has a diesel-automatic gearbox. It takes 4.5 seconds to go from 0 to 60 kmph. The Mahindra XUV 3XO will be available with 1.2L turbocharged, 1.2L TGDi, and 1.5L diesel engines, just as its predecessor. The oil burner may only be available with an automated 6-speed torque convertor transmission.
A larger 10.25-inch infotainment system with the newest wireless smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, dual zone climate control, a 7-speaker music system sourced from Harman Kardon, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, an auto dimming IRVM, and more goodies are among the many features Mahindra is packing into its new subcompact SUV.
2024 Maruti Swift
Undoubtedly, one of the most anticipated new automobile debuts of the year is the Maruti Swift. The hatchback will have a much better-looking exterior and a more luxurious interior. The brand-new 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine, which will replace the current K-Series motor, will be the vehicle’s main attraction, though. With the addition of mild hybrid technology, the power and torque statistics of the new 3-cylinder engine have been increased by 3 horsepower and 60 Nm, respectively. With no mild hybrid, the petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 82 horsepower and 108 Nm of torque.
A lot of the feature enhancements and design modifications will draw inspiration from the Fronx small crossover. Compared to the current version, the Maruti Swift 2024 is 15 mm longer, 40 mm slimmer, and 30 mm taller. Its 2,450mm wheelbase, meanwhile, has not changed. Along with a floating touchscreen infotainment system, instrument cluster, steering wheel, HVAC controls, and various switch gears—all of which we have seen in the Fronx—the hatchback will get a new dashboard design.
