Once again, Mahindra’s electric SUV, the XUV.e9, has been sighted being tested on public roads.
The vehicle’s well-applied camouflage provided a glimpse of the general design of the production-ready variant.
Important details like a sizable fascia with vertically stacked taillamps, massive wheels with aerodynamic spats, and a distinctive curved lightbar at the back were all seen in the photos.
XUV.e9: Mahindra’s first electric coupe SUV
The XUV.e9, which will go on sale later this year, will be Mahindra’s first electric coupe SUV. It is based on the XUV700.
A robust C-pillar that flows into the trunk lid gives the car its distinctive design.
The Tata Curvv EV will be the first electric coupe SUV on the market, but the XUV.e9 will be the first in a more expensive price range, which might encourage other automakers to use similar body designs.
XUV.e9 to feature a dashboard-wide digital display
One of the first Mahindra vehicles to include a digital screen spanning the dashboard combining entertainment, vehicle operations, and an instrument cluster will be the XUV.e9.
Surveillance photos purport a new Mahindra two-spoke steering wheel and an all-black interior. The next XUV.e8 model is anticipated to have these components as well.
It is projected that the car will have a 500 km or more range and several rapid charging choices.
Mahindra’s EV strategy and market competition
As part of its EV offensive strategy, Mahindra has laid out ambitious plans for electric vehicles in its lineup going forward.
One of the standout models in this lineup is the XUV.e9, which has an exciting camouflage wrap that indicates its all-electric drivetrain.
The XUV.e9 and XUV.e8 are anticipated to play significant roles in Mahindra’s BE electric vehicle lineup.
When the XUV.e9 is released, it will compete with competitors like the Tata Curvv EV, starting a new trend in the passenger car and electric car markets in India.
