- Irregular meal times:
Your stomach produces hydrochloric acid to aid in the digestion of food. Irregular meal times cause acid to build up in your stomach, which can lead to acid reflux and nausea.
- Too much tea and coffee:
Many people cannot function without caffeinated beverages. This is one way people deal with the stress of a high-pressure or demanding job. However, drinking carbonated beverages, coffee, and strong tea on a regular basis may increase your risk of acid reflux. This habit, which may provide temporary relief but causes long-term harm, must be abandoned.
- Smoking and eating high-fat foods:
Smoking is linked to an increased risk of gastroesophageal reflux, while high-calorie foods take longer to digest, potentially leading to acidity.
- Sleeping right after eating:
