- Carrera and its GTS models launched
- Boast a new hybrid-tech
Porsche Carrera and Carrera 4 GTS reservations are now being accepted by Porsche India. Ex-showroom, the 911 Carrera is priced at Rs. 1.99 crore, while the Carrera 4 GTS variant is priced at Rs. 2.75 crore.
On May 29, the automaker unveiled the 911 hybrid for the first time. Now, the 911 Carrera series has also been introduced by its Indian counterpart. The vehicles, which have an updated exterior, improved interior, improved handling, and increased power, will start to be delivered by the end of this year.
Engine details for the new 911
The new 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera 4 GTS models come with a new 3.6-liter flat-six engine as an option for the powertrain. Just one mill generates about 570 Nm of torque and 478 horsepower. It’s interesting to note that the automaker was able to introduce a single electric turbocharger rather than two thanks to hybrid technology. The seventh-generation 911 underwent a mid-cycle facelift that included hybridization, helping it produce about 526 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque. The 3.0-liter flat-six engine with dual turbochargers is still used in base 911 variants.
