Customers in the United States who buy an EV9 can now take advantage of free 1,000 kWh charging through the Electrify America network. Customers who are buying a 2024 Kia EV9 electric SUV for the first time can take advantage of this offer. Kia and Electrify America already have a multi-year deal whereby owners of the Niro and EV6 can receive free charging.

There are 3,729 fast chargers spread over 859 stations in the Electrify America network, and over 100 more are scheduled to be added. To locate a suitable charging station and view charger availability in real time, download the company’s app, which is compatible with iOS and Android devices. You can use the app to pay for further charging sessions once you’ve used your free charging allowance. In the US, orders for the three-row SUV Kia EV9 are currently being accepted.
Customers can choose to upgrade to a 99.8 kWh power pack, which offers an estimated 304 miles (~489 km) of range when coupled with a single motor, instead of the conventional 76.1 kWh battery that comes with the new model. The EV can be charged up to 236kW at its maximum rate using the 11kW onboard charger. There are 111 Level 2 stations in the Electrify America network. Customers have three years from the date of purchase to use their complimentary charging, according to the charging network. The benefit does not include other costs like idle fees and must be activated through the Electrify America app.
