Patrick Corsino is a serial entrepreneur, speaker, and investor known for starting multiple successful online business as well as being an early investor in Bitcoin. His journey started in college when he realized the flaws in the education system and took his life into his own hands. Patrick worked as a waiter for some time in order to fund his first business, and the rest is history. Fast forward, Patrick has started multiple businesses and built an investment portfolio that few his age can rival.
What do you think people should be invest in as a beginner?
There are a few things I think every beginner should consider investing in. If you have no/not a lot of money, buying $10 worth of stocks and hoping it goes up is not worth the investment. My recommendation at that point is always to invest in yourself. Invest in things that will teach you new things and help you develop new skills which you can use to increase income. After you’ve done that and have more money to invest, now it’s time to look for opportunities whether it’s in stocks, real estate, etc. The key to success in this second part is identifying opportunities in the markets which you can capitalize on (example: when the stock market drops, the rich are prepared and are buying while everyone else is panic selling)
When do you think people should start investing?
At the start! No matter what level a person is at they can always benefit from investing in one of the investments I mentioned above. I started off investing in myself to develop new skills. Now that those new skills have helped increase my income, I split my investments into myself and also assets which can generate me some cash flow. The sooner people start the better off they will be long term, that’s just the truth.
