Hyundai Motor India Limited, the massive South Korean automaker, is getting ready to introduce a few new models to the Indian market. It has already started the much-awaited revamp of the much-loved compact SUV Creta, which has taken the nation by storm. The corporation has already lined up a few new cars to draw in interested customers in an effort to entice additional buyers. You’ve come to the right place if you’re among those who are eager to see which new Hyundai models will be available. This is a list of every Hyundai vehicle that will be released this year.
Hyundai N-Line Creta
The business is preparing for the debut of the more performance-focused and sporty-looking Creta N-Line, which will follow the release of the new Creta facelift. Although the official debut date of this new SUV has not yet been disclosed by the firm, it is expected to occur in April of this year. The Hyundai Creta N-Line was recently sighted in Pune during a commercial shoot, exposing every aspect of this specific SUV’s design. Numerous visual enhancements will be added to the Creta N-Line, such as new diamond-cut alloy wheels, a redesigned grille, front and rear bumpers, and red accents everywhere.
A completely blacked-out interior and a redesigned dual-exit exhaust tip are also planned for the 2024 Creta N-Line. Regarding the drivetrain, the same 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine will be used in this variant, making it more potent. At its peak, this engine produces 253 Nm of torque and 158 horsepower. With this new model, the company will offer the 7-speed DCT gearbox as an alternative for the gearbox. But according to some sources, it might also include a manual gearbox, which the 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine model standard doesn’t have.
Hyundai Alcazar cosmetic enhancement
The brand has not yet provided an official statement regarding the release of the latest Alcazar makeover. But it’s conceivable that the business will redesign this seven-seat SUV using the Creta as a model. The business may give this SUV a completely new exterior for the 2024 model year, which will likely resemble the new Creta but have unique design cues to set it apart from the two siblings. It will most likely come with the same options for the powertrain as the outgoing generation. It is now anticipated that this new model will be released in June of this year. Regarding cost, the new Hyundai Alcazar for 2024 would run you between Rs. 17 and 22 lakh.
Hyundai Tucson cosmetic enhancements
This year, Hyundai will also introduce the completely redesigned Tucson facelift in India. This SUV has already been introduced and released by the corporation in numerous international regions. But it will also be introducing this new SUV in India soon. The firm completely revamped the interior of this SUV and made minor cosmetic updates for the 2024 model year. The car will now get new LED headlights, a revamped daytime running LED system, and a new, more angular front grille. A brand-new set of 18-inch alloy wheels, an updated rear bumper, and LED taillights will also be added to the vehicle.
Numerous modifications are also coming to the interior, such as a redesigned interior layout, new touch-based HVAC controls, and a new touchscreen infotainment system. Most likely, the available powertrain options will not change from the previous model. Two of these are a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 156 horsepower paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a 2.0-liter diesel engine producing 186 horsepower paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Additionally, the diesel engine has an optional all-wheel-drive setup that should be available with the facelifted model.
The Hyundai Creta EV
The brand-new Creta EV will also be introduced by the company. This will be Hyundai’s first to the market for reasonably priced electric cars. The manufacturer hasn’t yet disclosed the official release date for this SUV. On the other hand, rumours suggest that it will debut in September of this year. When the new Creta EV is released, it will go up against vehicles like the MG ZS EV and the Maruti Suzuki eVX. It will have a closed-off grille, new 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, and a few other EV-specific design tweaks. It will be based on the recently redesigned Creta facelift.
Regarding the drivetrain, there have been rumours that it would use a 45 kWh battery pack made by LG. The highest real-world driving range anticipated for the Hyundai Creta EV is 250 kilometres. It is anticipated that the front-mounted electric motor layout will be similar to the 140 PS and 255 Nm second-generation Kona EV offered abroad. Regarding the cost, it can be between Rs. 20 and Rs. 25 lakh.
