Before the K-pop group reunites in 2025, every member of BTS is preparing to finish their required military service.
On Monday, BIGHIT MUSIC, the management of BTS, posted an update on Weverse, the social media platform, regarding the pop group’s mandatory enlistment in the South Korean military. The seven-piece group’s ARMY, or army of fans, was informed by BIGHIT MUSIC that Jimin, Jungkook, RM, and V—the band members who haven’t enlisted yet—will start the application process shortly.
“Thank you for your continued love and support for BTS. We would like to update you on RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook’s upcoming enlistment into the military.” BIGHIT MUSIC was write of their fans in a statement.

“RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook will fulfill their required time with the military by enlisting in the army. RM and V will be enlisting according to their respective procedures, while Jimin and Jung Kook are scheduled to enlist together,” The post went on
There is “no official event on the day of their entry,” according to BTS management, so fans are asked to “convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only.” They went on, “The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site.”
Additionally, BIGHIT MUSIC cautioned fans against buying any “unauthorized tours or product packages” while J-Hope, Jin, and Suga, along with the rest of the band, performed as part of their contracted duties.
The statement concluded, saying, “We ask for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook until they complete their military service and return.” “Our company will also strive to provide all the support they need during this time.”
Due to South Korean law, all physically capable men aged 18 to 28 must serve 18 to 21 months in the military; therefore, all seven members of the “Dynamite” group must fulfill their service obligation. The K-pop stars’ management first revealed that they intended to fulfill their civic obligations and eventually get back together in 2025.
Jin, 30, enlisted in late 2022; J-Hope, 29, enlisted in April of this year; and Suga, 30, enlisted in September.
The news from BIGHIT MUSIC regarding the final four singers/dancers was released a few weeks after the 26-year-old Jungkook informed fans on Weverse that his enlistment would start in December.
