The study’s foundation was data gathered by NASA, the US space agency, through its Juno satellite. Since July 2016, the orbiter Juno has been examining Jupiter.

The equipment on Juno were used to measure the amounts of hydrogen and oxygen molecules coming from the atmosphere of Europa. According to the findings, the cold moon generates roughly 1,000 tons of oxygen per day. That quantity, according to NASA, would be sufficient “to keep a million humans breathing for a day.”

The space agency did point out that the estimations of oxygen levels were “substantially less” than what had been found in previous moon investigations.

The moon of Earth is slightly larger than Europa. Nonetheless, it remains among the biggest in our solar system. NASA observations indicate that behind Europa’s thick coat of ice may lie an ocean. The ocean on the moon may contain twice as much water as the oceans on Earth, according to scientific estimates.

The data used in the new study was gathered by Juno in 2022 during an exceptionally near flyby of Europa. The spacecraft is thought to have approached the moon by 350 kilometers during the flyby.

Teams from the Southwest Research Institute in Maryland and Princeton University in New Jersey oversaw the research. According to scientific estimates, Europa produces about 12 kg of oxygen every second. According to earlier estimates, the moon was shedding up to 1,000 kg every second.

Researchers have already determined that Europa is a good contender to possess the necessary circumstances to support life in some manner since it is thought to have a sizable ocean beneath its surface. The majority of the information was gathered from telescopic studies of the oxygen content of the moon’s frozen surface.

The earlier observations are not supported by the current, lower estimations of oxygen. The study’s team stated that additional investigation will be required to validate the most recent results

Co-author of the work and a Juno investigator at the Southwest Research Institute is Scott Bolton. In a statement, he stated that the new discoveries made by the scientists directly impact the likelihood that Europa may be habitable. The most recent study provides scientists with “a narrow range that could support habitability,” according to Bolton, even if the oxygen amounts detected were much lower.

The primary author of the paper was Jamey Szalay, a researcher at Princeton University. “The findings unambiguously demonstrate oxygen is continuously produced at the surface, just a good bit lower than we expected.” he stated.

Szalay also mentioned that the first time a spacecraft was able to assess the moon’s atmosphere directly was during Juno’s flyby of Europa. He emailed The Associated Press, saying, “We couldn’t wait to peek behind the curtain of its complex environment,”

According to the researchers, these new findings “open the door for newer, more precise models” and can aid in scientists’ knowledge of Europa and her surroundings.

In October, NASA intends to launch the Europa Clipper mission. The purpose of this orbiter is to conduct in-depth research on Europa. It will search for indications that it might contain the necessary elements to sustain life.

According to NASA, the orbiter will “perform repeated close flybys of the ice moon” while in orbit around Jupiter.

Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan have teamed up for the latest D’Yavol commercial, which announces the company’s partnership with Disney.

Fans were treated to an unexpected collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan in a new advertisement for Aryan Khan’s company D’Yavol, despite the fact that there has been no information regarding the forthcoming film in which the two will appear together.

Shah Rukh appears in the first scene of the commercial sporting three rings with the initials D’Yavol engraved on them on his fingers. Then, as he punches something that is out of frame of the camera, his hand is revealed to be crimson. He uses his hand to draw a ‘X’ on a window pane of an abandoned train compartment.

A second later, someone walks into the picture and takes a magical wand off the ground. Her face is exposed by the blue hue that emerges from the wand. Suhana Khan is here. She then shapes her side of the train window into the Disney logo by using the wand to colour it. The two exchange a smile and a look. The statement that the new collaboration would release new merchandise on March 17th concludes the teaser.

Aryan Khan, a co-founder of D’Yavol X, debuted his label’s debut collection exclusively on the website of the company at the beginning of 2023. During a 2013 interview, he shared that he views clothing as a creative expression with Vogue India. Even in the film industry, costume design plays a crucial role in setting the tone and carrying out the narrative. In addition to directing Shah Rukh in the first promotional commercial campaign, Aryan introduced D’Yavol X in April 2023.

Everyone wants to feel strong, whether they acknowledge it or not. However, not everyone has the leisure, motivation, or physical capacity to work out for hours on end. Fortunately, there are alternative methods for rapidly and efficiently increasing your strength, and stability exercises are one of them.

Whatever your fitness level, mastering these stability exercises can help you achieve greater results from your strength training. Beyond only increasing your strength, stability exercises have a plethora of possible health benefits. A 2022 study published in Frontiers in Physiology found that strengthening your core can increase your balance, coordination, and functional fitness—the capacity to carry out daily tasks—as well as your athletic performance.

“Focusing on exercises that improve your stability is key for many reasons, including improving balance, injury prevention, building core strength, boosting athletic performance, and improving posture,” explains Murdock. “Remember to use these exercises as a guide and start with the ones you feel most comfortable with. Gradually increase your intensity while keeping proper form and technique to prevent injury.”

Continue reading for Murdock’s list of the top 10 stability exercises for increasing strength. After you’re done, make sure to check out these 10 Bad Habits That Lead To Muscle Loss.

1. Balance on One Leg

According to research, this stability exercise is essential if you want to improve your balance. Additionally, it can build stronger ankle, core, and leg muscles.

Murdock instructs, “To do it, stand on one leg and maintain the posture for thirty to sixty seconds. Repeat after switching legs. You can up the challenge as you go by closing your eyes or standing on an unsteady surface, such as a foam pad.” Three to four times a day, repeat this.

2. Boards

The traditional plank is a full-body workout that works your shoulders, back, and core in addition to strengthening your core.

Murdock claims, “This signature move can be performed anywhere.” You can support it with your hands or forearms while maintaining a straight body from head to toe. Holding it for 30 seconds at first, then 60 seconds later is the goal.” Repeat this exercise three or four times, giving yourself a minute’s rest in between each round.

3. Side Boards

This variant on the plank strengthens and stabilises the core by working the obliques, or side abs.

Murdock suggests starting with a forearm side plank or a straight arm. “Lie on your side and straighten your body from head to heels by supporting yourself with your elbow or hand,” she instructs. Hold each side for 30 to 60 seconds.” After a minute of rest between each repetition, repeat three or four times.

4. Canines Avian

Prepare for a different kind of ab workout that will definitely help to improve your lower back, glutes, and core.

“Start in a tabletop position, ensuring your knees are underneath your hips and you’re maintaining a neutral spine,” Murdock says. “With your core tight, extend one arm forward and the opposing leg back. Hold for a short while before switching sides.” Finish three to four sets, ten to fifteen repetitions on each side. In between sets, take a one-minute break.

5. Ball Squats for Bosu

Squat down, grab a Bosu ball (an exercise ball that resembles a cut in half), and get ready to strengthen your core, glutes, and legs.

“Stand on a Bosu ball with the flat side down,” advises Murdock. Make sure you locate the right spot on the Bosu where it’s difficult but still feels solid enough for you to keep proper form. Squats are performed by lowering your hips and bending your knees like you’re reclining back in a chair.” With a minute of rest in between each set, aim for three to four sets of ten to fifteen repetitions.

6. Leg Only Deadlifts

This exercise improves balance and stability and works the hamstrings, glutes, and core, according to study.

Murdock says, “Stand on one leg and hold a dumbbell or kettlebell in one hand.” Make sure the weight is difficult enough for you to do the exercise, but not so hard that it becomes impossible. Lift your back leg behind you for balance and hinge at your hips to reduce weight towards the ground. Instead of tucking your chin into your neck, find a focal point on the ground. Maintain a straight back.” For each leg, perform three to four sets of ten to twelve repetitions, taking one minute off in between.

7. Knee Tucks with Stability Balls

This exercise will help you develop iron abs, particularly in your lower abs. Murdock advises placing your feet on a stability ball and beginning in the plank posture. Next, while rolling the ball forward, lift your knee towards your chest using your core. Return to your initial plank stance by spreading your legs wide again. Aim for three to four sets of ten to fifteen repetitions, with a minute of rest in between.

8. Rows with Resistance Bands

Strengthening workouts with resistance bands work well. This specific workout works the biceps and upper back muscles.

Murdock instructs us to “Anchor a resistance band to a sturdy object like a tree trunk, pole, or bannister at chest height” in order to execute this manoeuvre. To produce tension, take a step back and grasp one end of the band in each hand. Squeeze your shoulder blades together by using your core as you draw the band towards your chest. Return to the starting position gradually.” Spend a minute or so resting in between each of the three to four sets of ten to fifteen repetitions.

9. Stability Ball Displacement

The next exercise is stability ball roll-outs, which is a highly effective and underappreciated method of building rock-solid core strength and stability.

“Kneel in front of a stability ball with your hands on top of the ball,” Murdock advises. “Roll the ball forward while maintaining an engaged core and extending your arms in front of you. Return to where you were before rolling.” Aim for three to four sets of ten to fifteen repetitions, separated by one minute of rest.

10. Rows of TRX Suspension Trainers

“Hold onto TRX handles with your palms facing each other and lean back, keeping your body straight,” says Murdock. “The workout gets harder the farther out you walk your feet. Squeeze your shoulder blades together by using your core and drawing your chest towards your hands. Return to your starting position gradually.” Do three or four sets of ten to fifteen repetitions. In between sets, take a one-minute break.

The range of electric vehicles offered by Rivian is expanding, and it now includes an unexpected product line.

Along with its current R1T and R1S platforms, the EV manufacturer plans to add two more midsize SUV product lines to its consumer lineup: the R2 and the R3. The latter of the new platforms has not yet been revealed. According to Rivian, the R3 midsize crossover and its performance variant, the R3X, are part of the surprise range.

“I have never been more excited to launch new products – R2 and R3 are distinctly Rivian in terms of performance, capability, and usability, yet with pricing that makes them accessible to a lot of people,” RJ Scaringe, CEO, said in a statement.

The recently launched R2 by Rivian was characterized as a “midsize SUV delivering a combination of performance, capability and utility in a five-seat package optimized for big adventures and everyday use.” The starting cost is $45,000.

The EV manufacturer states that the R2 will go on sale to consumers in the first half of 2026. Customers in the United States now have the ability to reserve one of the midsize SUVs, according to the business.

Scaringe posted on Instagram on Friday, “We’ve taken more than 68,000 R2 reservations in less than 24 hours.” “We are thrilled to see R2 (as well as R3 and R3X) resonate so strongly with our community.”

According to Rivian, in order “to ensure a smooth launch and rapid ramp” of the R2, it would not start shipping the R3 and its performance variant until after the R2. The business claims that the R3 will launch at a lower price than the midsize SUV.

Compared to its sister R3, the R3X will have “even more dynamic abilities both on and off road”.

Rivian stated that the “fastest powertrain configuration” allows R2 and R3 cars to hit 60 mph in under three seconds. Single-motor, dual-motor, and tri-motor are the three alternatives.

There will be two battery sizes available for consumers considering these two varieties of mid-sized platforms. According to Rivian, they will also be able to use both NACS and CCS plugs to charge the cars, which have a range of more than 300 miles for the larger model.

A number of years have passed since the business began delivering its cars before the R2 and R3 were revealed. As of Friday, its market capitalization was $12.46 billion.

In January, Rivian reported that it will produce around 57,300 electric vehicles in 2023 and deliver about 50,100 of those vehicles.

Caitlin Clark, a star player for Iowa, had a difficult game on Friday when it came to her 3-point shooting, but generally, her career has been fantastic.

Clark’s two 3-pointers in the No. 2 seed Hawkeyes’ 95-62 victory over No. 7 Penn State in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals gave her 164 points, the highest by any Division I player (women or men) in a season.

Clark overtook Darius McGhee, who made 162 3-pointers in the previous season for Liberty, and Stephen Curry, who had 162 at Davidson in 2007–08. McGhee and Curry both completed 36 games; Clark has participated in 31 games for the 27-4 Hawkeyes so far.

For Clark, it was just one more record in a season full of them.

She overtook LSU’s Pete Maravich for the record for the most career points scored by a Division I player on Sunday in Iowa’s last regular season game. She made it to the 3-point arc on Friday even if her shooting performance was one of her least memorable.

Before making her first basket with 8:41 remaining in the game, Clark missed 11 shots from behind the arc. After that 3, she raised her arms in a faux celebration, receiving a standing ovation from the primarily Hawkeyes supporters in the sold-out Target Center.

“I was trolling and messing around when I made that,” Clark explained. “You’ve got to have some fun. Sometimes it’s hard to get up there and shoot the next one, but maybe that’s my poison sometimes. I’m just going to launch it. That’s just how it’s going to be. I was going to make one before the buzzer hit zero, even if it took 20 of them.”

Only once in her Iowa career has Clark failed to make a 3-pointer: in a win over Purdue on January 13, 2022, as a sophomore, she shot 0 for 6 from outside the arc.

Clark has 511 3-pointers in her career. Taylor Robertson of Oklahoma set the NCAA women’s lifetime record last season with 537, despite the fact that it was her fifth season due to the COVID-19 waiver that she received from 2020–21. As previously disclosed, Clark is in her fourth and final season and plans to enter the WNBA draft.

In spite of her poor shooting performance (5 of 19 overall, 2 of 14 from outside the arc), Clark led the Hawkeyes in assists (7), rebounds (10) and scoring (24 points). Together, her teammates were 13 out of 30 from behind the arc.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen her miss 11 3s in a row, and that could probably include practice and everything else,” Lisa Bluder, the Iowa coach, said. “I’m really proud of her for the way she handled that.”

“I think that’s the best thing for us is to have a game like this because now these guys all have great confidence. They have more belief in themselves and each other. If Caitlin has a bad night [shooting], OK, we can still survive that.”

Clark’s 265 career points in the Big Ten tournament also tied former Ohio State standout Kelsey Mitchell’s record. In the semifinal matchup against Michigan on Saturday, Clark will try to shatter that record.

After a software-related stop sale order was issued early in the debut of this new model, Chevrolet is now restarting sales of the 2024 Blazer EV. According to the corporation, “significant software updates” have been made to address a number of problems that owners were having. Chevy is also slashing prices dramatically, by as much as $5600 to $6500, depending on the trim level, in an effort to lure customers back.

The Blazer was originally listed for sale by GM in the third quarter of 2023, and the cease sale was announced at the end of the fourth quarter. Only 482 Blazer EVs were recorded sold altogether. The specific issues that owners were facing were not disclosed by Chevrolet; however, InsideEVs and Edmunds purchased one of the initial models and documented a lengthy catalogue of malfunctions pertaining to everything from driver assistance systems to drive motor control modules.

The base price of the Blazer EV LT AWD is now $50,195. The RS, on the other hand, has an all-wheel drive price of $54,595 and a rear-wheel drive price of $56,170. The RWD version is more expensive since it has some mandatory upgrades that make it more expensive. Additionally, according to Chevrolet, the $7500 federal tax credit is available for the Blazer.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Blazer EV’s starting price of $48,795 is still marginally higher than that of its platform-mate, the 2024 Honda Prologue. When Chevy releases the LT FWD configuration—which it claims will start at less than $50,000—that might change. The Prologue was never subject to the same stop sale order because it hasn’t gone on sale yet. Pricing information for the high-performance SS model of the Blazer EV and an extra front-wheel-drive setup for the RS trim are still pending; both are expected to arrive later.

According to Chevy, this software update adds a few new features, such as customisable colour ambient lighting and an updated digital gauge cluster with new visuals that now shows the battery %.

The RD350 is at the top of the list of famous motorcycles that India has seen over the years. One of the most widely marketed models in the nation was this two-stroke cycle, which people are currently rebuilding to satisfy their nostalgia. As of right now, the majority of these restorations are based on original RD 350s. But lately, a Karnataka store took an unusual step. They have used a new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 as the basis for their homage to the venerable Yamaha RD350.

Converted from Royal Enfield Interceptor to Yamaha RD350

The owner of this incredibly rare motorcycle is Bossyamakaze on Instagram, who shared the footage. The Karnataka-based shop has accomplished something very unique: they customised a brand-new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 motorcycle by adding a body modification that was inspired by the legendary Yamaha RD350.

The company has documented the process of transforming this motorcycle in the behind-the-scenes films of this custom build. New chrome front and rear fenders, an RD350-inspired handlebar, a single-piece seat, new chrome mirrors, and a whole new paint job have all been added to the bike. To provide some intrigue, the bike’s fuel tank and airbox covers are badged with 650 and Interceptor instead of Yamaha RD350.

The distinctive bike’s exhaust noise

A video of the bike’s updated exhaust note has also been released by the store. The shop has fitted this bike with a brand-new set of dual exhaust to give it a sound more akin to the legendary Yamaha RD350. The bike has a distinct two-stroke sound that may be heard when it is riding or when it is at idle. It could be difficult for people who are unfamiliar with this bike to identify it as a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

Yamaha RD-350

As previously said, the Yamaha Rajdoot 350 was one of the most famous motorcycles of its time when it was introduced in 1973. Under the Rajdoot 350 brand, this motorbike was put together in India by Escorts group between 1983 and 1990. The Rajdoot 350 was offered by the firm in India in two different models: a High Torque and a Low Torque.

The ‘Low Torque’ model produced just 27 horsepower, whereas the ‘High Torque’ version produced 30.5 horsepower. The engine was detuned for improved fuel economy, which resulted in a decreased power output. By the time manufacturing of the bike came to an end in 1990, almost all of its parts were obtained from India; very few were Japanese.

A major lover of the Yamaha RD350 is MS Dhoni.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the renowned Indian cricket player, has a deep admiration for the Yamaha RD350. He has a collection that includes multiple RD350s. Most recently, he treated himself to a bespoke RD350 repaired by Chandigarh-based “Blue Smoke Customs.”

With a unique British green paint job covering the fuel tank, side body panels, headlight cowl, and the upper part of the front telescopic forks, Dhoni’s recently rebuilt Yamaha RD350 is quite noticeable. In addition, it has twin exhaust pipes, round amber turn signal housings, chrome-finished front and rear fenders, and a tubular pillion grab rail.

Dhoni was spotted starting his second Yamaha RD350 at his farmhouse in a different video that was uploaded on the internet. In addition to the RD350s, Dhoni owns a large collection of other two-stroke motorcycles, like as the Yamaha RX100, Suzuki Shogun, and vintage Norton, Jawa, and BSA models.

On the UK’s north coast in Devon and Somerset, scientists have found fragments of the planet’s oldest fossil forest. Around 390 million years ago, the trees are believed to have grown as a part of a vast forest that covered the east coast of the continent known as the Old Red Sandstone, which was then a part of Europe.

As a result, the Somerset forest is 4–5 million years older than the previous American record holder, Cairo, New York.

The fossils were found by Cambridge University researchers and analyzed at Cardiff University. They depict little branches and unfinished trunks of a unique kind of tree known as cladoxylopsids, which may reach up to two meters in length.

The scientists found that before more contemporary woody trees appeared about 385 million years ago, cladoxylopsids dominated terrestrial ecosystems for a period of roughly 5 million years.

Their research, published in the Journal of the Geological Society, sheds new light on how trees evolved and the profound influence they had on the development of the modern world.

“These Calamophyton trees are the oldest fossil trees ever found in Britain and represent an as yet missing part of our vegetational history,” stated Dr. Christopher Berry, a senior lecturer at Cardiff University’s School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, who identified the fossils.

“So far, fossil forests—where tree bases are preserved in their original habitat—have only been found in New York State at Cairo and Gilboa, which date back to roughly 385 million years ago.

“Although the area of rock exposure is limited and dangerous to access, our new discovery is the oldest clear example of such a geological phenomenon known to date and it speaks directly to the ecology of the oldest forests 390 million years ago.”

Though they were unrelated to the types of trees that are common on Earth today, the Calamophyton initially resembled palm trees.

Their trunks were not solid wood, but rather hollow in the middle, encircled by a ring of woody supporting strands. Hundreds of twig-like things covered its branches in place of leaves.

In addition, the trees were far smaller than their progeny, growing to a height of only two to four meters. As they matured, they lost their lower branches and left behind a large amount of plant litter, which provided sustenance for invertebrates on the forest floor.

In addition, the scientists discovered evidence of the tree bases and their fallen trunks, which revealed for the first time the living trees’ spacing and environmental context.

“The shape and forms of these structures taken together strongly suggest that these the Calamophyton were standing alongside a raised bank beside a small river channel.” Dr. Berry continued.

“I was able to identify the tree trunks based on 30 years studying these types of fossils and particularly having worked on the best and most complete specimens of Calamophyton from Belgium and Germany where they are well known but relatively rare.”

“Nevertheless, it was a bit of a shock. Having traveled the world in search of the earliest forests, it is amazing to know that you can see the localities from here on the South Wales coast.”

The research believes that during the Devonian period, when Africa and Europe collided, the North Devon and Somerset site was probably much closer to Belgium and Germany. Later, during the Carboniferous period, during a period of crustal compression and faulting, it was moved over a massive geological fault.

First author of the paper Professor Neil Davies of the Department of Earth Sciences at Cambridge University stated: “Life on Earth underwent a profound shift during the Devonian epoch. Though little is known about the very earliest forests, it also altered the way that water and land interacted because trees and other plants stabilized silt through their root systems.

“The evidence contained in these fossils preserves a key stage in Earth’s development, when rivers started to operate in a fundamentally different way than they had before, becoming the great erosive force they are today.”

“People sometimes think that British rocks have been looked at enough, but this shows that revisiting them can yield important new discoveries.”

Riley is maturing. And that makes the animated follow-up Inside Out 2 evoke an entirely different range of feelings.

On June 14, the Pixar follow-up to the 2015 picture, which followed Riley as he experienced five personified basic emotions, will hit theatres. The movie will centre on the five initial emotions as they are made to adapt to new emotions.

Tony Hale, who will take Bill Hader’s place as Fear, and Liza Lapira, who will take Mindy Kaling’s role as Disgust, are two of the new voices. In addition, Adeʀle Exarchopoulos will be adding a new character, Ennui, to the roster…

New emotions will be added to the cast of Joy (voiced by Amy Poehler), Anger (voiced by Lewis Black), Sadness (voiced by Phyllis Smith), Fear (voiced by Tony Hale), and Disgust (voiced by Liza Lapira). The film is directed by Kelsey Mann, produced by Mark Nielsen, and features a score by Andrea Datzman.

  • Maya Hawke plays Anxiety. Anxiety is a ball of jumbled energy that makes sure Riley is ready for anything that could go wrong.
  • The character of envy, played by Ayo Edebiri, is unafraid to express her constant jealousy of anything that other people possess.
  • Adèle Exarchopoulos portraying ennui is apathetic. Ennui, who is bored and listless and has a perfected eye roll, gives Riley just the right amount of adolescent disinterest when she feels like it.
  • Paul Walter Hauser plays embarrassment, a big man with a brilliant blush-pink skin who prefers to be quiet.

In addition, Lilimar plays Valentina “Val” Ortiz, a high school hockey player who is idolised by Riley and her pals, and Kensington Tallman plays Riley Andersen, who is set to start high school.

Riley’s parents, Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan, are back in their respective roles. Riley’s best friends are portrayed by Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green and Grace Lu, and Coach Roberts, the director of a summer hockey camp, is portrayed by Yvette Nicole Brown.

Sarayu Blue, Flea, Ron Funches, Dave Goelz, James Austin Johnson, Bobby Moynihan, Frank Oz, Paula Pell, Paula Poundstone, John Ratzenberger, Kendall Coyne Schofield, June Squibb, Kirk Thatcher, and Yong Yea are among the other voice actors in Inside Out 2.

Disney+ is now offering Disney and Pixar’s original Inside Out for streaming.
