The official voyage of Timothée Chalamet to become Bob Dylan has commenced.

The 28-year-old actor was spotted on Sunday in New York City, where he was filming A Complete Unknown, James Mangold’s upcoming biopic about the renowned musician.

Carrying a beat-up guitar case in his hand, Chalamet resembled the eighty-two-year-old Dylan as he strolled through the city’s streets wearing pants, a green jacket, an orange scarf, a paperboy cap, and a big yellow rucksack on his back.

A vintage-looking car passed by next to him, creating the backdrop for the biopic, which Deadline reports will focus on Dylan’s contentious switch to the electric guitar in the 1960s and his journey to become a folk music icon.

Though Mangold has revealed that Chalamet will be singing in character as Dylan in the movie—his most recent musical achievement after Wonka—not much more is known about the biography.

“It’s such an amazing time in American culture, and the story of Bob’s — a young, 19-year-old Bob Dylan coming to New York with two dollars in his pocket and becoming a worldwide sensation within three years,” Mangold, 60, told Collider in 2017. “First being embraced into a family of folk music in New York and of course kind of outrunning him at a certain point as his star rises so beyond belief.”

In addition, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, and Woody Guthrie—all of whom “have a role to play in this movie,” according to Mangold—will be featured in the biopic.

“It’s such an interesting true story and about such an interesting moment in the American scene,” he said.

Edward Norton, who plays folk musician Seeger in the film, has reportedly joined the ensemble, replacing Benedict Cumberbatch, who withdrew due to schedule issues, according to Deadline. Elle Fanning is set to play Sylvie Russo, Dylan’s love interest, in the film.

As he got ready for the part, Chalamet went to Dylan’s high school in Hibbing, Minnesota, back in January. He spent some time with the theatrical department at Hibbing High School during his visit, which they reported in a Facebook post the next day.

The theater department of the school noted in the post, “HHS Drama accidentally blew up the internet: We spent about 45 minutes with Timothée Chalamet yesterday at the historic Hibbing Auditorium.” “He was a total gem. In town researching all things Bob Dylan for an upcoming biopic, he asked his tour guide if he could meet with the drama students who were working on their competition one act.”

While the children were practicing for a performance of The Girl in the White Pinafore, Chalamet posed for pictures and “sat down with them one on one, and talked acting and theater.”

“After our guest left, our students had their final dress rehearsal. And they nailed it. Something must have inspired them,”  the post said.

Everything is ready for the Triumph Daytona 660 to debut in India. Triumph’s official Instagram page states that the motorcycle is already being produced for the Indian market. The motorbike made its debut in January 2024, after the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660, which are both available for purchase in India, as the third model with a 660 cc inline triple engine.

Carandbike has learned through dealer sources that the Daytona 660 is expected to be released in April 2024, despite the firm hasn’t made any formal announcements regarding the launch date. Nevertheless, the motorcycle is already advertised on the Triumph India website. A few dealers are even taking reservations for the bike in advance for a meagre Rs 50,000. The motorcycle should cost approximately Rs 10 lakh.

The Daytona 660’s twin LED headlights and vintage “675” model served as inspiration for its design. Overseas, the bike is available in three colour variations, one of which is a race-inspired “660” pattern. It comes with a digital instrument console that has a monochrome TFT LCD screen, just like the Trident 660. Additionally, the optional My Triumph Connectivity System is compatible with the unit. The motorcycle’s electronics feature ride-by-wire and three riding modes: rain, sport and road.

The Daytona 660’s suspension system consists of a 41 mm Showa up-side down (USD) huge piston fork up front and a Showa monoshock with preload adjustable at the rear. There are two 310 mm floating discs in the front and one 220 mm fixed disc in the back that are responsible for braking. The motorcycle weighs 201 kg on the curb, and its seat height is 810 mm.

Regarding the motorbike’s powerplant, the 660 cc inline-triple engine produces 69 Nm of peak torque at 8,250 rpm and roughly 94 horsepower at 11,250 rpm. In addition to a redesigned exhaust system, the Daytona 660 is claimed to sound sportier than its other 660 cc brothers. A torque-assist clutch and a 6-speed gearbox are mated to the engine.

This year, MG Motor India will introduce two new vehicles to its lineup: the Excelor EV and the Gloster Facelift.

Recently, MG Motor unveiled the MY 2024 lineup of vehicles, which includes minor variant revisions and price revisions. The brand owned by SAIC Motor sold 4,532 units in February 2024. The corporation has significantly reorganised its lineup, as there are no new products being released in its portfolio this year. This barren spell is about to end since MG plans to introduce two new vehicles to the Indian market this year. So let’s examine their specifics.

1. MG Excelor EV

There are currently two EVs in MG Motor India’s lineup: the premium SUV-class ZS EV and the Comet, which is the entry-level model. These two versions are completely different from one another in terms of price as well. In the Indian market, MG just registered the Excelor EV as a trademark.

Although there are currently no specifics available about the future EV, we think the business may introduce a new electric vehicle that will sit beneath the ZS EV. MG previously declared that it will introduce a new EV in India in 2024. The automaker has rebranded itself as Excelor and is not using it in any other market.

Rumour has it that one of MG’s current EV range vehicles sold internationally will probably get a new name for the Indian market. It is quite likely that the next electric vehicle will be an SUV, competing head-to-head with vehicles like the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV, and the soon-to-come Maruti Suzuki eVX.

2. Facelift for MG Gloster

In 2020, the MG Gloster will receive its first comprehensive mid-life update following its first release in India. The MG Gloster Facelift is expected to go on sale this year and has already been spotted being driven on test drives. The SUV will have substantial modifications to the front and rear profiles in addition to new alloy wheel designs, even if the overall silhouette will stay the same.

The package will also include new technological features and a few minor interior layout changes. In terms of mechanics, it will stick with the same lineup of engines: a 2.0-liter turbodiesel that produces 161 horsepower and 375 Nm of peak torque, and a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel that produces 215 horsepower and 480 Nm of peak torque.

There’s not much that a minivan or MPV can do for transporting the family. Its primary concern is practicality, which these cars excel in providing.

The problem is that there aren’t many ground clearance minivans and MPVs.

Of course, the biggest carmaker in Japan is well aware of this. The business debuted a tough minivan idea at the Japan Mobility Show in the previous year. The Toyota X-Van Gear Concept was its name, and it looks like it’s going into production. That appears to be supported by patent images from the Japan Patent and Trademark Office.

The patent photos, which are registered under Toyota Auto Body, seem to show the high-riding minivan in production form. Notably, the division responsible for assembling the Land Cruiser family, the Alphard and its siblings, the minivans Noah and Voxy, and the Hiace are Toyota Auto Body products.

Although the van doesn’t yet have a name, it doesn’t appear to be all that different from the concept model should this be the production vehicle. The boxy exterior, sliding doors, and high ground clearance are all still present, along with the body claddings. It is plausible that it will draw inspiration from the smaller Alphard, namely the twins Noah and Voxy. It is reminiscent of the Honda Element, which was manufactured from 2003 until 2011, however with a smaller design.

It appears that Japan is once again seeing a rise in the popularity of “adventure type” automobiles. While some models, like the Delica D:5, have been there for a while, it’s also seeing more modified kei cars, hatchbacks, and vans there.
