The 2023 App Store Awards winners were revealed by Apple today, and 14 games and apps that encouraged people to explore their creativity, find new adventures, and enjoy themselves with friends and family were honored. The App Store’s editorial team selected the winners this year, which include developers from all over the world, based on their ability to create games and apps that offer users meaningful experiences and encourage cultural change. With a human touch, MUBI selects great independent films, and SmartGym excels on Apple Watch with a vast exercise library, routines, and robust fitness reporting.
In the gaming genre, Lost in Play allows players to access their charming, childlike imagination during an epic point-and-click adventure, while Honkai: Star Rail immerses players in a story full of nuanced characters and tactically rich combat on the iPhone. The beautifully designed dark fantasy world of Lies of P and the immersive gaming world of Apple Arcade’s Hello Kitty Island Adventure both offer players the sweetest possible objective: making friends.
