Amazon Vender Administrations and the Inland Streams Authority of India (IWAI) on Wednesday inked a consent to support freight development along the Ganga. An experimental run program is set to send off on the Patna-Kolkata water course.
Under the Service of Ports, Delivery, and Streams, Amazon India has marked a Notice of Figuring out (MoU) with IWAI to work with containerised freight development and lay out an organization for freight shipment on inland streams.
Through this arrangement, Amazon India is extending its production network to incorporate traversable inland streams crossing 14,500 km, containing waterways, trenches, backwaters, and brooks.
Amazon as of now has devoted air freight network in India with send off of Amazon Air in January.
