The next Hyundai Creta EV will go into production before the end of the year, it was confirmed in April 2024. The all-electric Hyundai Creta will go on sale in the final quarter of the 2024–2025 fiscal year, which corresponds to some time between January and March 2025, it has now been confirmed. It’s one of Hyundai’s four upcoming electric vehicles for our market.
Design Differences Over The Regular Creta
Further elements of the redesigned design have been revealed through various overseas spy photos and a few India spy photos of the Hyundai electric SUV. A redesigned bumper, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and a closed-off grille are among the major external alterations that will occur. It retains the same dual L-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) as the internally combustion engine (ICE) Creta’s makeover.
Expected Changes Inside The Cabin
It’s highly likely that the Creta EV’s interior design would resemble that of its ICE cousin, complete with dual-tone interior decor and dual-integrated digital screens, based on an earlier spy photo. Nevertheless, the spy photo had shown that the all-electric Creta would come with a brand-new 3-spoke steering wheel.
Features And Safety Tech On Board
Anticipate features from Hyundai to include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and ventilated front seats. Six airbags (on all models), a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and a few advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and auto emergency braking are probably all part of its safety package.
Creta EV Electric Powertrain
Although information regarding the Creta EV’s electric engine and battery pack is still limited, they believe its stated range will exceed 400 kilometres. Similar to many other EVs in its global range and some of its Indian EV competitors, Hyundai may also provide it with a variety of battery pack options. It will probably only be available with a single motor setup, which would be advantageous for both reduced costs and increased range.
Expected Price And Competition
It is anticipated that the Hyundai Creta EV will start at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will go up against the Maruti eVX, the MG ZS EV, and the soon-to-be Tata Curvv EV. The Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Nexon EV will be more expensive alternatives to the Creta EV.
