Next month will see the launch of the brand-new Maruti Suzuki Swift, fourth generation. The new Swift is reportedly scheduled to debut on May 9. The 2024 Maruti Swift will mostly have a design similar to the global model, with minor modifications exclusive to India.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Design details
Both the exterior and interior of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift will be redesigned. The brand will have a new LED headlight on the outside that is merged into an L-shaped LED DRL, giving it a sleek and contemporary look. The featured image at the top shows that all, or almost all, of the Swift’s variations in India will have a chrome surround around the front grille.
The car has a brand-new front bumper in addition to the new grille. There are rumours that the Swift entering the nation will have new front and back bumpers. There are reports that the front bumper plate housing will be larger. The India-spec model will not include a black feature that contrasts with anything. An identical bonnet will be included with this fast variant. Regarding the side appearance, the automobile model will not be receiving the identical alloy wheels with five spokes in the shape of aero blades. Instead, the wheel’s design would be slightly altered to make it more stylish. The diamond-cut alloy is currently popular in India, and Maruti is anticipated to follow suit.
Maruti Suzuki: Interior and Safety
The dashboard of the upcoming Maruti Swift will have a sleek, contemporary design that draws design cues from Fronx and Baleno. The car’s dual-tone colour scheme, which combines light and dark hues, will increase its allure.
The new Swfit’s interior in India is identical to that of the European Swift; the controls and steering wheel are located on the right side. However, official images of the interior are still pending. Maruti will maintain a stylish and sophisticated interior design, even if the dash gets a little colour added.
Like its predecessors, the 2017 Swift has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Both Apple Carplay and Android Auto will be included. Along with a few other amenities like automated climate management, there will also be a wireless charging pad.
Maruti Suzuki will provide a new Swift with six airbags, ABS, EBD, and ESP for added safety. Standard amenities would include middle-row seatbelts with three points for passengers. But the car designed just for India wouldn’t have ADAS or a 360-degree camera.
Maruti Suzuki: Swift Engine
Regarding the vehicle’s powertrain, the Swift is equipped with a brand-new 1.2-liter Z series 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates approximately 83 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque.
A CVT automatic gearbox is an available feature for the foreign vehicle, which comes standard with a five-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the manual gearbox option will be available in India in addition to the AMT gearbox.
A 12V mild hybrid system will also be installed in the Swift vehicle. But it won’t be available in the India-spec mode.
Maruti Suzuki Swift: Design
Redesigned LED tail lights will be available for the new Swift. The new design appears far more contemporary. Last but not least, the rear bumper of this vehicle houses the camera.
