In October of last year, Kia debuted the 2025 Carnival MPV, which has since undergone some minor improvements. However, the MPV with a hybrid drivetrain has just been presented by the South Korean automaker.
A 72 BHP electric motor and a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine power the new Kia Carnival hybrid. The hybrid drivetrain, when combined with a 6-speed automated gearbox, generates a total output of 242 BHP and 368 Nm. The Sportage and Sorento models that Kia sells abroad have the same drivetrain. Although the Carnival hybrid’s fuel efficiency is unknown, it is anticipated to be comparable to the 37 mpg offered by the Sorento hybrid.
The 2025 Carnival includes new wheels, an updated grille, a modified bumper and updated headlights. The majority of these design elements were influenced by the company’s EV9 model. The 2025 Kia Carnival’s interior features a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, two 14.6-inch entertainment screens for the backseat passengers, a fully digital instrument cluster and a tonne of other linked technology.
Based on reports, the hybrid powertrain is expected to be offered in all variants with the exception of the lowest ‘LX’ grade. In the upcoming months, Kia is anticipated to introduce the Carnival hybrid on a global scale.
