The third-generation Chevy Traverse, which debuted in 2024, has a tonne of new features and improvements for the outside appearance, inside amenities, and technology. In reference to the latter, one technological advancement absent from the second-generation Traverse was Super Cruise, General Motors’ semi-autonomous driving system. This significant oversight has now been fixed for the brand-new 2024 Chevy Traverse.
Super Cruise will be an option for the Chevy Traverse for the first time in its existence. As a matter of fact, the base LS will not have this option, but the majority of trim levels—including the LT, Z71, and RS—will.
But the technology for semi-autonomous driving won’t be available as a stand-alone option. The Enhanced Driving Package (RPO code Y5T), which comes with the following (applicable RPO number in parenthesis) will be the sole way to access Super Cruise.

Recall that the third-generation 2024 Chevy Traverse is completely new and has a new front fascia with dual-tier headlamps that is more reminiscent of a truck, along with Chevy’s “High Brow” design theme. The forward-leaning C-pillars and the brilliant chrome quad exhaust tips are two more design features.
The 17.7-inch diagonal colour infotainment touchscreen, which is standard on the whole series, is the focal point of the cabin. The revamped steering wheel, increased interior space, enhanced ergonomics, new colour options, and better materials are all included in the new cockpit.
The go-go juice is provided by the 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, which is turbocharged and produces 326 pound-feet of torque and 328 horsepower, according to GM. Cog swaps are handled by the GM eight-speed automatic gearbox; FWD is standard and AWD is available.
The 2024 Traverse is built on an updated long-wheelbase version of the GM C1 platform that features several enhancements, including the Global B digital architecture. Early in 2024, the Michigan-based GM Lansing Delta Township factory will begin production.
