According to Leander ISD’s announcement on Twitter, high school student Langston Lee won the award for best actor at The Jimmy Awards in New York on Monday.
According to the website, the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as The Jimmy Awards, honor outstanding student performances and recognize the importance of theatre arts education in schools.
The NHSMTA website claims that Lee received the Heller Awards for Young Artists’ “Best Performance by an Actor” award.
According to Leander Independent School District, Lee won “Best Actor” at the Heller Awards for Young Artists in Austin for his performance in Rouse High School’s production of “Anastasia” this past year.
