The newest fourth-generation pickup truck, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500, marks the arrival of several significant upgrades and revisions. It is the sixth model year for this model. Notably, GM Authority has discovered that the Harvest Bronze Metallic paint option for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 has been developed just for the 2024 model year. Whether Harvest Bronze Metallic colour will be available again for the 2025 model year is unknown at this time.
With the paint code GXN, Harvest Bronze Metallic was first offered with the 2023 model year when it was first added to the Chevy Silverado 1500 inventory. Three new colours for 2023 were available: Radiant Red Tintcoat, Sterling Grey Metallic, and Harvest Bronze Metallic.
The 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 is no longer offered in Glacier Blue Metallic (paint code GLT), as GM Authority previously reported. Additionally, RST trim levels are no longer offering Lakeshore Blue Metallic (paint code GXP). The 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 paint range is now restricted to the following possibilities (applicable paint codes shown in parenthesis), as Harvest Bronze Metallic and Glacier Blue Metallic are no longer available:
- Dark (GBA)
- GNT Radiant Red Tintcoat
- Metallic Sterling Grey (GXD)
- Metallic Dark Ash (G6M)
- Pearl Tricoat with Iridescence (G1W)
- Warm Red (G7C)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Metallic Lakeshore Blue (GXP)
- Metallic Slate Grey (GNO)
Radiant Red Tintcoat costs an additional $495, while Iridescent Pearl Tricoat costs an additional $995. These are the only two colours available for further purchase among these paint options.
In addition to paint, the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, which produces 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque, is now an option for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2. The 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine make up the remainder of the Silverado 1500 engine selection. TurboMax branding is applied to the L3B petrol engine starting with the 2024 model year.
The production process is carried out at the GM plants located in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Oshawa, Canada; and Silao, Mexico. The GM T1 platform serves as the foundation.
